Description
Description
66000 Series Polyurethane Screen Printing Ink is a solvent-based, air-dry industrial ink built for flexible and hard-to-bond substrates. Its single-package polyurethane chemistry stays flexible and tough, so prints resist cracking and abrasion on materials that defeat ordinary inks — ideal for durable indoor/outdoor use.
⚠ Industrial use only. This is an industrial solvent ink for flexible plastics and industrial products. It is not a textile or garment ink and is not intended for printing on apparel or for skin contact.
Flexible, durable finish. Air dry. Quart, gallon and 5 gallon. Made in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Substrates & end uses — what the 66000 Series is for
A special-performance polyurethane ink formulated to flex and bond on demanding surfaces:
- Special-performance polyurethane
- Polyamide (nylon)
- Polyester
- Latex
- Leather
Chosen where prints must stay flexible and abrasion-resistant — flexible signage, industrial parts, and treated plastics that need a tough, durable film.
Recommended companion products
Match your 66000 Series ink with the correct retarder and cleaner. Add modifiers by weight and always test on your exact substrate first.
- OPTI 922 Biting Solvent & Retarder — add 3–5% for extra bite and adhesion on tough, flexible surfaces, and to slow drying.
- OPTI 974 Slow Thinner / Retarder — add 3–5% to extend open time in hot, humid conditions.
- OPTI 902 Lacquer Wash-Up or OPTI 925 Mild Lacquer Wash-Up — clean screens, squeegees and tools after printing.
Which solvent series do I need?
- Vacuum-form / multi-purpose plastics — 10000 Series
- Coroplast / corrugated plastic signs — 80000 Series
- Pressure-sensitive vinyl, gloss — 40000 Series
- Pressure-sensitive vinyl, matte — 43000 Series
- Metal, glass, ceramic, hard non-porous — 20000 Series (epoxy)
- Polyester film, nameplates, overlays — 76000 Series
- Flexible / treated plastics, durable outdoor — 66000 Series (you're here)
- Industrial maintenance topcoat — 30000 Series
Adhesion on solvent inks is substrate-specific. Always run an adhesion and flex test on your exact material before a production run.

Safety, PPE & OSHA compliance
Flammable solvent-based product — handle per the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200); a GHS Safety Data Sheet ships with every order and must be kept accessible to employees.
- Gloves — chemical-resistant nitrile (not latex).
- Safety glasses — to protect against splashes.
- Mask — a solvent/organic-vapor respirator mask when ventilation can't keep vapors down (not a dust mask).
- Storage — keep sealed and upright in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from heat, sparks, flame and sun; ground containers when transferring.
See the product SDS for the GHS signal word, flash point and HMIS ratings before use.
Compliance
