OPTI 974 Slow Thinner & Retarder – 20000 / 30000 / 66000 Series

OPTI 974 Slow Thinner & Retarder (formula T-974) is a dual-purpose slow reducer and retarder used across the 20000 Epoxy, 30000 Topcoat and 66000 Polyurethane series. It reduces the ink and extends open time in one product.

⚠ Industrial use only. An industrial solvent ink additive — keep away from apparel and skin contact.

Reduce 5–15%, or add 2–3% as a retarder. Quart, gallon and 5 gallon. Made in Hackensack, New Jersey.

What it does

• Thins the ink for smooth flow while slowing the dry — two jobs in one.
• Extends open time in hot, dry or high-speed printing on 20000, 30000 and 66000 inks.
• Add as a reducer at 5–15%, or as a retarder at 2–3%.

Flammable solvent-based product — handle per the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200); a GHS Safety Data Sheet ships with every order and must be kept accessible to employees.

• Gloves — chemical-resistant nitrile (not latex).
• Safety glasses — to protect against splashes.
• Mask — a solvent/organic-vapor respirator mask when ventilation can't keep vapors down (not a dust mask).
• Storage — keep sealed and upright in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from heat, sparks, flame and sun; ground containers when transferring.
