Description
Description
Curable Ink Reducer — Soft-Flow (PFRE Series) thins plastisol for better flow and finer detail without wrecking opacity or cure. It is curable — it becomes part of the ink film instead of just diluting it, so adhesion and wash durability hold.
The Soft-Flow line comes in three curable options, selected in the dropdown: PFRE-703 Quick Flash, PFRE-704 Clear, and PFRE-705 Reducer. All are phthalate-free and compatible with every plastisol we make — standard, low-cure and specialty.
How much to add
Start at 5% by weight. Most shops run 15–20% depending on the operator, the ink and the print. Do not exceed 20%. Over-reducing is the most common mistake — you can always add more, you cannot take it back out. Mix thoroughly and print a test before production.
What it does
- Thins without over-thinning — better flow and deposit, opacity intact.
- Cure stays put — still cures at 320–330°F; adhesion and wash durability unaffected.
- Softer hand — smoother, more flexible print without dulling color.
- Fewer screen clogs — keeps ink open in the mesh, fewer stops to wipe.
- Works with everything — standard, low-cure and specialty plastisols.
Use it for
- Soft-hand fashion prints — less buildup, lighter feel on the garment.
- Fine line and high detail — crisper edges, cleaner registration.
- Large coverage — even spread across a big deposit.
- Halftones and multi-color — consistent blending and transitions.

Formulation
Phthalate-free. Built on a phthalate-free plasticizer system — not an ortho-phthalate chemistry — so it will not reintroduce phthalates into a phthalate-free ink you have already specified.
Handling
- Wear gloves and safety glasses when handling.
- Use in a well-ventilated area.
- Keep containers sealed when not in use to prevent contamination.
- Review the Safety Data Sheet before use.
