Description

Grey Blocker Underbase is a grey dye-migration blocking underbase — printed first, under your colors, its grey blocking layer stops polyester and sublimation dyes from migrating up and discoloring the print. It cures at 290–310°F for polyester, poly blends and tri-blends. CPSIA-compliant and phthalate-free, made in Hackensack, New Jersey.

Pint, quart, gallon and 5 gallon. Heat cure. Made in the USA.

Also available in larger quantities — 30-gallon and 55-gallon drums; call 201-487-9600 for volume and discount pricing.

Features & benefits

  • Grey dye-migration blocker — stops polyester/sublimation dyes from ghosting into your print
  • Underbase-grade — print it first, then your colors and white on top
  • For polyester, poly blends & tri-blends — the toughest bleed fabrics
  • Cures 290–310°F — low bleed
  • CPSIA-compliant & phthalate-free — made in the USA

Always run a test print first. Before any production run, print and fully cure a test on your exact garment and check opacity, hand and wash-fastness. It's the best habit in the shop — if you're not sure on settings, call us at 201-487-9600 before you run the job.

What it prints on

  • 100% polyester & poly blends — print the grey blocker first to stop dye migration
  • Tri-blends & sublimated garments — the blocking layer holds back bleed under bright prints

Printing & curing

  • Mesh: 110–160 for a solid blocking layer
  • Squeegee: 65, 75 or 80 durometer — or a 70/90/70 triple durometer
  • Flash: 240–260°F between colors
  • Cure: curing is a time-and-temperature process — bring the full ink film to 290–310°F (143–154°C); confirm with a temp gun or donut probe, not dryer air temp
