Description

STRETCH PLASTISOL INK – PFST SERIES

61 Colors | Low Cure | Made in the USA

Our PFST Stretch Plastisol Ink is manufactured in Hackensack, New Jersey. We make this series for screen printing on polyester, spandex, Lycra, and other stretch fabrics.

The ink is formulated to stretch with the garment and recover without cracking under normal use. It also helps reduce dye migration on polyester.

PFST cures at 290–310°F and is available in 61 colors. It can be used on manual or automatic presses.

INK INFORMATION

Type: Stretch Plastisol
Series: PFST
Colors: 61
Fabrics: Polyester, Spandex, Lycra, Performance Blends
Finish: Flexible and Stretchable
Presses: Manual and Automatic
Manufactured in: Hackensack, NJ

WHAT CAN YOU PRINT ON?

100% Polyester
Athletic jerseys, performance shirts, and other polyester garments.

Spandex & Lycra
Fabrics requiring additional stretch and recovery.

4-Way Stretch
Suitable for garments that stretch in multiple directions.

Polyester Blends
Test for dye migration before production.

Sublimated Fabrics
Some sublimation dyes may bleed into the ink during curing. Test the garment first.

PRINTING SETUP

Mesh: 110–200+
Squeegee: 65–80 Durometer
Alternative: 70/90/70 Triple Durometer
Flash: 240–260°F
Cure: 290–310°F

For solid colors, start with 110–160 mesh.

For finer details or lighter deposits, use a higher mesh count.

A 75-durometer squeegee is a good starting point. Adjust pressure to get an even deposit.

Avoid excessive ink buildup on stretch garments.

PRINTING ON STRETCH FABRICS

Use enough ink for proper coverage without making the print unnecessarily thick.

After curing, stretch the printed area to check for cracking or separation.

For garments with significant stretch, test the print in both directions.

Always check the finished print after washing.

FLASHING AND CURING

Flash: 240–260°F

Flash only when needed between colors. The ink should be gelled enough to accept the next print without picking up wet ink.

Avoid excessive flashing, especially on heat-sensitive fabrics.

Cure: 290–310°F

The entire ink deposit must reach the recommended curing temperature.

Check the ink temperature rather than relying only on dryer settings.

A lower curing temperature can help reduce heat exposure, but it doesn't guarantee that polyester dyes won't migrate.

Test the garment before running a large order.

POLYESTER AND DYE MIGRATION

Polyester dyes can move into plastisol ink during curing.

PFST is formulated with bleed-resistant properties to help reduce this problem.

Dark polyester and sublimated garments may still require a bleed-blocking underbase.

If you're unsure which ink to use, contact us before printing.

INK ADDITIVES

Quick Flash Reducer
Adjusts ink consistency when needed.

Soft Hand Base
Can modify the finished feel. Excessive amounts may affect opacity and stretch.

Nylon Bond 289
Used for certain applications requiring additional adhesion to compatible synthetic fabrics.

Test modified ink mixtures before production.

CLEANING

OPTI Wash 125
For cleaning screens, squeegees, and equipment.

OPTI Spot 303
For appropriate spot-cleaning applications on garments.
