CWB Simulated Process Plastisol Ink

CWB Simulated Process Plastisol Ink is a Cotton White Base simulated-process ink system for cotton, polyester and blends. Built to print detailed, multi-color artwork on dark garments over a white underbase, it holds fine halftone detail while keeping colors bright and the hand controlled. CPSIA-compliant and phthalate-free, made in Hackensack, New Jersey.

Always run a test print first. Before any production run, print and fully cure a test on your exact garment and check opacity, hand and wash-fastness. It's the best habit in the shop — if you're not sure on settings, call us at 877-937-6400 before you run the job.

What it prints on

• Cotton

Printing & curing

• Mesh: fine mesh (200–355) to hold halftone dots and fine detail for simulated-process work on darks
• Squeegee: 65, 75 or 80 durometer — or a 70/90/70 triple durometer for sharp edges with easy fill
• Flash: 240–260°F between colors
• Cure: bring the full ink film to 330°F — always confirm with a temp gun or donut probe, not dryer air temp

Recommended companion products

• Nylon Bond 289 Additive — mix into this ink to bond prints to nylon and other slick synthetics (catalyst; stir in a small amount, limited pot life, always test first).
• Quick Flash Reducer — thins the ink for easier printing and finer detail without killing opacity.
• Soft Hand Base — add for a softer, lighter hand feel on the garment.
• Badass Puff Additive — mix in for a raised, high-rise puff effect.
• UMX® Custom Color Match — send us your target color reference and we custom-mix the color for you (plastisol, solvent, UV & water-base).
• Cleanup: OPTI Wash 125 (odor-free screen & tool wash) and OPTI Spot 303 (spot cleaning).

Safety, PPE & storage

• Wear nitrile gloves and safety glasses; avoid prolonged skin contact with uncured ink.
• Print with adequate ventilation; curing releases vapors — vent your dryer.
• Always stir the ink before use — standard practice to re-blend any settling.
• Storage & shelf life: keep sealed and out of direct sunlight. Shelf life is 1–2 years for standard inks; low-cure and all-polyester inks must be stored at 60–80°F. In high heat expect some expansion in the container — open carefully. Do not freeze.
• Uncured ink is not hazardous waste but should be handled and disposed of per local regulations.
• Refer to the Safety Data Sheet before use.

Compliance

CPSIA compliant — meets 16 CFR Part 1303 (<90 ppm lead in surface coatings) and CPSIA §101 (<100 ppm total lead); safe for use on children's apparel. Phthalate-free formulation.
